The struggle for gender equity is often suppressed in favour of what is considered as gender neutral struggles like better working and social conditions, higher wages, secure employment, job creation, health, housing, pension and other social protection benefits. It does not take much analysis to discover that these demands should include gender dimensions if the struggles for them are to bring about meaningful and substantial improvements in society. This foundation skills course on Gender Equity assists participants to take forward the struggle for fender equity, conceptually and practically, in their organisations, at their work place and in their communities using interactive and participatory education methods.
